About Al Lipper:
Three Reasons You Should NOT Be Here
Hi, I’m Al Lipper
It’s always funny reading the “About Me” page on websites, because they’re usually written in the third person, even though they’re typically written by the person they are about.
So, I’ll spare the formality and pretense and write to you like I would write to a friend.
First, here’s what matters most to me…
My family – my incredible wife Aurora (my sweetheart since 1996) and my four kids (three boys and one girl), each special in their own unique way.
But you probably want to know,
Is this guy worth my time and attention?
For many readers, my answer is simply NO.
Here’s why:
I can NOT help you get rich quick.
Yes, I do specialize in helping online businesses increase profits. And Yes, I help offline businesses add online business components.
But online business – I mean REAL online business – takes work and time just like any other business.
While it’s true that nearly every morning for years I’ve been able to check our automated sales logs and discover I’ve made money while I slept (or went out with my wife or played with my kids…)
It has not always been easy.
I spent years creating automated revenue generation systems, working hard and getting frustrated while I figured out cutting edge strategies that allow me to be where I am now.
… And it still takes work to keep it all running.
So, if you’re not willing to work on an online business component like you would on a traditional business, then I can’t help you.
If you’re just focused on money,
I don’t want to help you.
It’s not that my strategies won’t work for you, it’s just that there’s a lot more to life than just making money and it won’t make you happy in the end anyway.
When I hear someone say, “I don’t care about my customers as long as they pay me”, it’s usually someone with questionable ethics who will do whatever it takes to make a buck.
I work with people who make money with solid business strategy. Together we craft, optimize and refine what they’re doing in order to make more money (usually while working fewer hours).
And we do this all by providing a great product to the customer. No questionable business practices or reams of unhappy customers.
Just smart business.
And it’s usually way easier than my clients expect.
If you don’t want to pay for advertising,
I’m not your guy.
Here’s what I mean.
Lots of folks talk about “Free Traffic” through social media and SEO. And some of it works too.
But there are two problems with this.
First, it’s not really free. You pay for it with time or money. But it’s not really free. If you work on it yourself, you’re not spending that time on things that could earn you way more money. If you’re paying someone to do it, then it’s costing you money after all.
The second reason is that the game is always changing. What worked on Google (or Facebook or wherever) last year is quite possibly worthless today. On top of that, even if you’re ranked #1 for some keyword now Google has stacked 5 paid ads on top of your result.
When we pay for ads, we know what we’re getting. They WANT you to advertise, so the process is more dependable. Your ads get placed where you want them to be.
Then it’s just a matter of making sure that you earn enough on each click to cover your ad cost.
THIS is where the money is.
And THIS is one of the things I work with my clients to achieve in a reliable way that works day after day.
You’re still here? Good.
Here’s what you can expect from me.
- Solid, actionable strategies that you can use in your business immediately that are designed to help you earn more and work fewer hours. I give away many of these strategies for free… Followed by:
- Blatant sales pitches.
Can you believe I just told you flat out that you’re going to receive blatant sales pitches from me?
Well, why wouldn’t I tell you?
Think about it. I’m a marketing expert.
I won’t ask you to do things that I wouldn’t do myself.
Now get this… I’m not some self-accredited “guru” who has never actually done anything but teach other people how to sell stuff.
- I was CEO for 5 years of an international engineering company that I built from the ground up and sold in 2005.
- I currently own an online educational publishing company that has been extremely profitable since 2009.
- I taught on the faculty of Cal Poly University in the College of Business for 4 years.
- I have been privately consulting with business clients and helping them to earn more while working less for 13 years and currently have a waiting list for new clients.
In short, I teach folks how to do what I have been doing myself for years. I eat my own cooking.
So what about those blatant sales pitches?
I have a pretty simple strategy here.
I figure if I teach you valuable techniques that help you, you might say “Wow, that really worked – I can’t believe how much we made from Al’s strategy. Maybe I’ll try his paid stuff.”
It’s the old “Show people you can help them by actually helping them” trick.
Works great.
But you might be wondering…
How Do I Know If Your Stuff Will Work For Me?
Probably the best way for you to tell is to look at my free stuff. Watch the videos and see what you think.
If it’s stuff that you find helpful, you’ll probably like my paid courses.
If you don’t like the free stuff, then my paid material probably isn’t for you.
Okay, so you might want to know more about me. I mentioned a few of the “professional Highlights” that you’re supposed to say in a bio above. But I promised to write to you here like a friend, so here’s a bit of the more recent backstory.
In 2008, my wife and I worked together selling educational products at trade show (mostly science kits and lab materials). We also offered a couple of online courses, but they were a small part of our business. We had been doing this for a few years (since I sold my international engineering company) and it was growing.
Then the recession hit.
Bamm!!!
Sales dropped by 75% overnight.
People said the market would come back, but I didn’t have the patience for that.
I needed to take care of my family.
So I searched and searched for ways we could make money without starting over.
And I came across a course on “How to start an online membership program”.
The course was $975.
I went through the sales letter again and again. I talked to my wife about it. I talked to a trusted entrepreneur friend. And finally, made the plunge and bought the course.
I did what the course said. Set up this online membership and sales website. Advertised it…
And waited.
Would we get 10 people to sign up? Maybe 100?
Within 4 days, over 800 people signed up!
The following year, I earned more in a month than I used to earn in a whole year!
I worked hard learning new strategies, fixing problems, figuring out the right vendors and software to use.
I experimented with webinars and video production techniques. Learned about copywriting and pay-per-click ads and became an expert at email marketing.
Fast-forward to today…
We’ve had over 44,384 people join the membership site. (Regular members typically pay $40 per month or $380 per year).
We’ve produced over 2,000 content videos, sold tens of thousands of DVD’s and even still sell educational science lab materials.
I’ve also produced and sold courses teaching others how to run successful online businesses.
Plus I take on a very limited number of private clients who I personally work with to grow their businesses, and especially so they have more time for things like family.
I think you get the idea – I do business for real.
What I teach clients is tried and true techniques from the trenches of my own companies.
Here’s What I Will Help You With, Specifically
My main focus is to help you make your business more profitable by optimizing (or creating) your automated online sales process.
I specialize in finding hidden revenue opportunities, and then utilizing them in a way that is largely automated or outsourced. Doing this often allows you earn more money while at the same time working less.
If you spend lots of time “fighting fires”, we work on reducing that too.
In my opinion, your business should serve the lifestyle that you ideally want to live. I mean, you pick your lifestyle first, then create a business that gives you what you need for it.
In my own businesses, I have three goals (All of which I’ve accomplished):
- Be able to work from anywhere
- Be able to work on my own schedule
- Earn a generous income so I don’t need to worry about money
Your goals might be very different.
Whatever they are, I help people to create a business that will serve their ideal lifestyle.
Here’s My First Sales Pitch To You:
Look around my website.
Watch some videos. Read some articles.
If they are helpful to you, consider buying my stuff when I make an offer.
Pretty simple, Right?
Thanks for reading, and now get to work!
